01 · Photo studio

A photo with a plan.

Check the 600 × 600 JPEG size and file limit, align a manual crop with head and eye guides, and ask for optional AI advice on visible issues.

02 · Application check

Answers that line up.

Review your qualification route, household details, passport readiness and the family members who must be listed.

03 · Documents

The right papers, in order.

A checklist tailored to your stage and circumstances: civil records, police certificates, translations and interview steps.

04 · Country rules

Know the difference.

Birthplace decides DV chargeability; visa restrictions can follow nationality. We keep the two clearly apart, with official sources.

One country.
Two different rules.

DV entry eligibility normally follows birthplace. Visa restrictions may follow nationality or travel documents. Check both before you plan your next step.

Every stage.
Every requirement, clear.

Entry preparation, photo standards and post-selection documents — clearly separated, each with what to correct.

✓Birthplace & country of chargeabilityEligibility+

Use the cycle’s official country list. Citizenship and residence do not normally replace birthplace. Spouse/parent chargeability exceptions and territory rules need individual assessment.

What to correct: Do not switch countries simply because you hold a different passport. Document any valid alternate-chargeability basis.
✓Education or qualifying work experiencePrincipal applicant+

The principal applicant needs qualifying formal schooling or qualifying work experience. The education route requires completion comparable to a U.S. 12-year primary/secondary course. O*NET work qualification uses Job Zone 4/5 and SVP 7.0+.

What to correct: Obtain completion records, or verify your actual occupation and qualifying two-year experience within the required five-year period. GED-style equivalency alone is insufficient.
✓Valid passport & entry scanIdentity+

Current regulation requires valid passport details and a scan of the biographic/signature page, subject to limited legal exemptions. Scan format: JPEG/JFIF, maximum 5 MB; not PDF.

What to correct: Renew an expired passport and create a clear scan of the required pages. Follow the current entry form for any additional file instructions.
✓Names, birth details & contact informationConsistency+

Enter complete names in the required Roman-letter fields, correct birth date/place, current mailing information and an email you control. State your completed education level accurately.

What to correct: Compare each field with source records and the current form instructions. Resolve inconsistencies rather than guessing a spelling or date.
✓Spouse, children & separate family photosHousehold+

Include required spouse and unmarried under-21 biological, step and legally adopted children, including those not traveling. U.S. citizen/LPR and court-ordered separation exceptions apply.

What to correct: Do not list a fiancé as a spouse. Review all required family members and their photos against the cycle instructions before sending.
✓One entry, entry period & confirmation numberSubmission+

Duplicate entries for one person in the same cycle invalidate their entries. Each qualifying spouse may enter independently. Submit only during the official window and keep your confirmation number.

What to correct: Coordinate with anyone assisting you to prevent duplicates. Check results yourself at dvprogram.state.gov; payment cannot improve selection odds.
✓Service charges versus government feesCosts+

LotteryUSA’s $5 is an independent preparation-service price. The government fee schedule currently lists a $1 principal registration fee and a $330 DV application fee per visa applicant. Medical and other charges are separate.

What to correct: Use current official payment instructions. Do not confuse a private review purchase with an official entry or visa payment.

Good questions

Clear answers.

Is the official DV lottery entry free?

Yes. Entering the Diversity Visa program at dvprogram.state.gov is free. LotteryUSA is an optional $5 preparation service that helps you check your photo, answers and documents before you submit your own entry.

What does the $5 cover?

An independent preparation review: technical photo tools, answer-based readiness checks, a document checklist and a correction report, plus 20 optional AI checks. It is not a government filing fee, visa fee or legal service. Payment is processed by PayPal and the tools unlock after the payment is completed.

Do I pay again after making corrections?

No. Sign in with the same LotteryUSA account you used at checkout. Your completed payment is linked to that account, so you can upload a corrected photo, revise your answers and regenerate your report without another payment. Photos and answers stay in the current browser session, so keep your own files and download your report.

How do I sign in?

Continue with Google, or enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code that expires in 5 minutes. There is no password. Your account is created after your email is verified.

Will you submit my DV entry?

No. You submit your own entry at dvprogram.state.gov during the announced period and keep your confirmation number. Paying for this service cannot improve your chance of selection.

Can you guarantee a photo or visa will be accepted?

No. File checks do not establish image composition, identity or visa eligibility. The relevant U.S. authorities assess your final image and application.

Are country restrictions the same as DV eligibility?

No. Birthplace usually determines DV chargeability. Visa restrictions may depend on nationality, passport, location, existing visas and exceptions. We keep them separate.

What happens to my photos and answers?

Local checks stay in your browser session. Optional AI checks send the selected photo crop or preparation answers externally only with your consent. We store payment references, your account ID and AI usage counts to manage access. Downloads remain on your device.
